My eBook

An eBook is an electronic version of a book or text. This is an eBook that provides viewers with knowledge about the seasons in Ontario. Students are able to view the eBook and explore it on their own on a computer or tablet. They can spend more time on an area that may interest them, or skip past information they already know. An eBook represents the many technological tools available for teaching today. It combines these tools together to provide students with a dynamic and appealing learning experience. An eBook also demonstrates the knowledge also that a teacher holds, but can communicate to and teach his or her students. Teachers may have the knowledge of how technology works, however in order for this knowledge to be beneficial, teachers must demonstrate it and make it available to their students. By creating this eBook, I was also able to develop and strengthen my TPACK knowledge by exploring technological tools on my own and figuring out how to put all the multimodal parts together effectively. As well, I was able to take information and display it in an engaging way that captures the interest and attention of my students. The visual aspect to the eBook allows students of all capability to learn and grow from the information it holds. Many technological tools are necessary in order to provide a creative mode of learning.
